The pellets are not easily available in the market hence cord wood is used as a replacement. The pellets used are of two types the cheaper ones which produce more ash and the premium ones they give a relatively cleaner flame.

The modern wood burning stoves are quite efficient if compared with the older ones. Some parts of the country prohibit the usage of solid fuel on environmental grounds. It requires a lot of work to use wood as a fuel.
